Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Gastroenterology & Bronchoscopy Procedures – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour day/evening shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility to stay past shift end to complete the day's schedule as needed.

Highlights:

• Provide direct patient care during GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation using an RN-driven assessment approach based on Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring
• Deliver pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Work within a 4-room procedure unit with a daily census of 20-25 patients, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio
• Utilize Epic EMR system in a Magnet-designated academic medical center environment
• 20 hours of orientation provided; assignment includes up to two approved time-off requests

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or Compact state (pending Wisconsin license accepted upon submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in endoscopy or procedural sedation within the last 3 years
• Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar large hospital experience required
• Demonstrated competency in administering and recovering moderate sedation for GI and pulmonary procedures
• Experience with airway management, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts and maintenance, and specimen handling
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% passing score; strict criteria for lethal rhythms and heart blocks)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
