Program Assistant

Program Assistant (Westchester County)

Provides administrative support to the Employment Services division.

Greets and assists clients and visitors who enter the facility

Performs administrative duties such as typing reports, letters/memos etc. Assists with the preparation of assigned reports

Assists with the collection of monthly statistics

Provides assistance with file maintenance

Calls clients to remind them of upcoming appointments with employment service staff

Assists with ordering of office supplies and maintaining supply inventory

Responsible for receiving/distribution of all mail, correspondence and supplies

Answers phone calls and provides excellent customer service and provides program information

Interacts regularly with Westhab clients and performs outreach calls to existing clients

May perform other duties as assigned

Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative position or equivalent; ability to use Microsoft Word for Windows, as well as knowledge of spreadsheets and database programs using Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills. Must be flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
