Counselor I (Mental Health & Substance Use)

Bryan, OH | Full-Time | $50,000-$55,000 (Bachelor's) | $60,000-$65,000 (Master's)

Healthcare Recruiters International is partnering with a confidential behavioral health organization to hire a Counselor I to provide mental health and substance use treatment services in Bryan, Ohio.

This is an excellent opportunity for licensed clinicians who are passionate about supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders while working within a collaborative, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned client caseload
• Conduct mental health, substance use, and dual diagnosis assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling
• Coordinate care with providers and community resources
• Complete clinical documentation and discharge planning
• Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision
• Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related helping profession OR
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field

Ohio Licensure (Required):

• LSW
• LPC
• MFT
• LCDC II
• LCDC III

Preferred Experience

• Behavioral health
• Mental health counseling

• Crisis intervention
• Treatment planning
• DSM-5 diagnosis

Additional Requirements

• Active Ohio license in good standing
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed
