Licensed Practical Nurse - Full Time - Iowa Veterans Home

Job Description We serve 399 veterans and their spouses with dignity, compassion, and community. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay: $30.38 per hour. Recruitment payment: $3,000 for full‑time LPNs. (Current State of Iowa employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.) Flexible Scheduling 14‑hour shifts 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; work 1 out of 3 weekends. 10‑hour evening shift 12 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; work 1 out of 3 weekends. Weekend package shifts 6 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; retention payments up to $8,000. Minimum of 32 hours every weekend; must work a total of 40 hours per week. Lodging and meals are available upon request. What You’ll Do Provide and oversee licensed treatments for up to 30 residents. Assess and evaluate resident conditions, adjust care plans, and take appropriate action. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes. Lead and mentor Resident Aides, CNAs, and Medication Aides. Minimum Qualification Requirements Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure under the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement.
