Physical Therapy AideThe Physical Therapy Aide will assist in the coordination of patient services within the Physical Therapy department. This position will provide clinical and administrative support to the therapists and patients. This is a full time position Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Essential Job Functions:Assist therapists in a busy orthopedic sports physical therapy clinicSet up, put away and facilitate the use of physical therapy exercise and treatment equipmentPerform normal routine maintenance of equipment, maintain upkeep logsRecord inventory and order suppliesStocking of linen for daily and weekly useAssist with maintaining a clean work environment in the clinicOther duties as assignedAssists in scheduling therapy patients, collect co-payments (if needed)Assists with scanning information into EMRAnswer and return phone callsCheck in and checkout patients from therapy appointments, as neededBook patients into EMR systemAdditional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.Requirements:Active interest in athletics and the ability to perform skills required to assist patients with Basketball drills, football drills, baseball drills, etc.Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, patients and physiciansComputer experience and accuracy in data entry regarding patient appointments and schedulingProfessional, pleasant, cheerful, and neat appearanceOrganizational skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to maintain confidentialityMust be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
