Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical specialty provides comprehensive patient care under the supervision of the Unit Director, adhering to state licensure standards and hospital policies. The Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse offers direct shift supervision to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care interventions.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Assist physicians with procedures and implement treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff and support personnel on shift.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Maine RN license.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications, completed within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrate telemetry experience preferred.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and strong teamwork abilities.
• Maintain flexibility in work hours to meet hospital staffing needs.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
