What We Offer Competitive pay Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay Career growth and advancement opportunities Supportive team environment Employee rewards and recognition programs Responsibilities Prepare high-quality meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes Ensure meals are nutritious, properly portioned, and attractively presented Maintain proper food temperatures and prepare enough food to meet resident needs Assist with menu planning and food preparation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Clean cooking equipment, kitchen areas, and food preparation spaces Work with leadership regarding menus, therapeutic diets, and resident dietary needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Culinary education is a plus At least 1 year of cooking experience required, preferably in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or food service setting Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Passion for providing exceptional service Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and kneel throughout the shift Lift up to 40 pounds without assistance Why Aviva Pembroke?
