General Responsibilities: Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs in support of Branch & Cafe operations by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports. Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time. Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment. Leading a team of project managers Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes Location: West Creek 5 (Richmond, VA) or Center 2 (McLean, VA) or 802 Delaware Ave (Wilmington, DE) - this role is Hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification At least 3 years of People Management experience At least 4 years of Project Management experience At least 2 years of experience as Responsible or Accountable for reportable business metrics At least 3 years of Microsoft Office or Google Suite experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience At least 5 years of People Management experience At least 6 years of Project Management experience At least 3 years of experience as Owner / Accountable Leader for large-scale, data-driven initiatives CAPM, PMP, Lean, Agile, or SAFe certification At least 2 years of Financial or Regulatory Industry experience At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management Wilmington, DE: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
