BEGINNING SALARY : $58596/Year with comprehensive benefits package
Are you passionate about creating vibrant communities Sampson County Parks & Recreation is seeking a dynamic Recreation Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional recreational programs and events.
As a Recreation Manager youll be at the heart of our community developing and implementing exciting activities for people of all ages. Youll oversee our team manage budgets and ensure our facilities are top-notch.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK :
A Recreation Managers primary purpose is to coordinate and manage programs for the citizens of Sampson County . This position assists the Director in develop ing astrategic plan budget and set ting goals for the department. Some of their responsibilities include purchasing mentoring and training fulltime staff inventorying programming equipment/supplies scheduling games directing and implementing a variety of recreation programs activities special events and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director .
This position hires and trains fulltime and part time staff . A Recreation Manager must be approachable optimistic and decisive .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE : A minimum of a bachelors degree with coursework in recreation sports management or related field and 3-5 years of experience in organized recreation programs is required . CPRP preferred . An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered .
