Sous Chef

Ophelia's Pizza + Bar is looking for a Sous Chef to join our dynamic team.

Location: 401 Church St. , Nashville TN 37219

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $50,000

Our restaurant is searching for a creative and motivated Sous Chef to join the team. The Sous Chef will act as third in command in our kitchen enforcing the chef's guidelines and inspiring excellence. They should have in-depth knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist chefs in seasonal menu changes
• Ensure kitchen tasks operate efficiently
• Resolve customer issues related to food
• Record inventory and order if necessary
• Support junior kitchen employees with various tasks
• Assist in hiring kitchen staff
• Staff training
• Assist in schedule planning within given budget
• Lead in excellent sanitation practices
• Organize daily prep lists
• Ability to delegate and follow up on tasks

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year proven kitchen management experience
• Team oriented leadership
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Reliable transportation
• Open availability including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge in cost and labor control
• Good understanding of restaurant software and POS systems
• Physically able to work 10+ hour shifts
