Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team. The Laundry Aide plays an essential role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all resident personal laundry and facility linens. This position helps support a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and wash resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry.

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to safety procedures.

• Fold, hang, and properly label clean laundry.

• Deliver clean laundry to appropriate units or residents in a timely manner.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.

• Report any malfunctioning equipment or supply needs to the supervisor.

• Follow infection control guidelines and facility policies at all times.

• Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents and staff.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred but not required—will train the right candidate.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

• Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Compassionate attitude toward the elderly and those with disabilities.
