Sign On Bonus Available Sign On Bonus Available Position Summary Provide patient care for patients of varying ages, families, and physicians. Perform a variety of patient care tasks and procedures in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements. Work in a setting that involves the application of ionizing radiation for cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures. Education Two years of formal radiologic technology training at a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association. Successful completion of the Association's examination and/or formal training in Cardiovascular Technology. Experience Previous practical experience as a staff Radiologic Technologist. Skills and Abilities Certification from the State of New Jersey X-ray Technician Board of Examiners required; ARRT certification preferred. CPR certification and unit-based orientation. Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and perform tests requiring placement of equipment in sensitive areas. Effective interactive and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation). Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and shift tasks efficiently without loss of composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to patient needs, including with patients who are acute, chronic, complex, or dying. Ability to work cooperatively within the healthcare system, with patients and family members, and with multidisciplinary team members (e.g., physicians, respiratory, DI, lab). Use of critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to problem-solve and deliver care.
