The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray and CT technology to produce high-quality images crucial for accurate diagnoses. They ensure patient safety, proper technique, and adherence to radiology protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate fixed and portable X-ray and CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Adjust exposure settings, patient positioning, and equipment to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure under ALARA principles.
- Process and review images in PACS, ensuring clarity and accuracy for radiologist evaluation.
- Assist with contrast media administration and patient preparation for CT exams.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, perform quality control checks, and document procedures accurately.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling for imaging procedures and support patient and staff inquiries with professional customer service.
- Hold a valid R.T.(R)(ARRT) credential.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience as a CT technologist.
- Demonstrate proficiency in radiographic procedures and radiation safety practices.
- Show strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging principles.
- Exhibit excellent patient care and communication skills.
