POOL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANFull-Time | W-2 Employee | Weekly Pay | Year-Round WorkDo you know the difference between a crystal-clear pool and a backyard swamp?Can you diagnose a water chemistry issue without relying on an automated system to do the work for you?If so, Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance wants to hear from you.We're looking for an experienced Pool Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This is not a commercial pool position where automated chemical controllers handle most of the work. Our clients are primarily residential property owners who depend on knowledgeable technicians to maintain beautiful, safe, swim-ready pools.If you take pride in your work, understand water chemistry, and enjoy working independently, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.What You'll Be DoingPool Cleaning & MaintenanceSkim debris and remove leavesBrush walls, steps, and tile linesVacuum pool floorsEmpty skimmer and pump basketsMaintain clean, attractive, swim-ready pools:Water Chemistry ManagementTest and balance pool water chemistryAdjust pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer levelsDiagnose and correct water quality issues including algae, cloudiness, staining, and scalingCalculate and apply appropriate chemical treatmentsMonitor water conditions and make proactive recommendationsEquipment Inspection & MaintenanceInspect pumps, filters, heaters, chlorination systems, and other equipmentIdentify potential issues before they become costly repairsPerform minor repairs and maintenance when appropriateReport larger repair needs to managementDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate service recordsTrack chemical usage and maintenance activitiesDocument equipment conditions and repair recommendationsCustomer ServiceCommunicate professionally with homeowners and property managersAnswer customer questions and concernsRecommend maintenance, repairs, and additional services when appropriateSafetyFollow all company safety procedures and industry best practicesHandle pool chemicals safely and responsiblyWhat We're Looking ForREQUIREDCertified Pool Operator (CPO) CertificationValid Driver's License and Clean Driving RecordReliable TransportationStrong Understanding of Residential Pool Water ChemistryImportant: Residential Pool Experience PreferredOur pools are primarily residential pools that require hands-on testing, diagnosis, and chemical balancing.We are looking for someone who understands the science behind maintaining healthy pool water-not someone whose only experience is monitoring automated chemical systems at commercial facilities.You should be comfortable:Interpreting water test resultsDiagnosing chemistry-related problemsCalculating chemical adjustmentsTreating algae outbreaks and water quality issuesManaging water balance independentlyThis is not a "throw some chlorine in and hope for the best" position.We're looking for a technician who understands how chemistry, equipment performance, weather, and usage all work together to maintain a healthy pool.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 70 poundsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the day (You'll definitely get your steps in.)Why Join Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance?Competitive PayAttractive pay ratesPaid weeklyBenefits After Just 30 DaysMajor Medical InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k)Stable Full-Time EmploymentConsistent hours year-roundSteady work, even during winterCareer GrowthAdvancement opportunities within a rapidly growing companyWork with a team that values professionalism, reliability, and qualityAbout Mountaineer Cleaning & MaintenanceAt Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance, we're committed to delivering exceptional service and building a team of professionals who take pride in their work.
