Application Solution ArchitectLocation: Must be local to Chicago and willing to go into the downtown office on occasionContract: 6 Months opportunity for extensionCreate solutions to business problems through the use of technology.Create and own the application architecture standards to meet business needs.Document and maintain application portfolio and roadmap.Review new application requests and align with overall application portfolio to minimize duplication -- be part of supplier selection team for new applications.Perform application total cost of ownership analysis; measure the financial benefits of each application in comparison to the costs of the application's maintenance and operations.Review ongoing change requests to application architectureTop Must Have Skills: This is application solutions architect role. Experience in Digital usage of identity and access management platforms such as OKTA or other.Preferred Qualifications:Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problemsPrevious experience with full stack development ranging from front-end user interfaces to back-end systemsExpert level knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing & operationsA mindset to take up most challenging coding tasksProficiency in design, development, security & scalability of high-volume services implemented in Java, Node/Typescript,.NET, or Python etc.Strong demonstrated experience of Enterprise Integration Design patterns in development of loosely coupled & resilient systemsHands on with modern UI frameworks like React with excellent knowledge of client-side security & front-end design pattern (stateless components, conditional rendering, controlled components, hooks etc.)Demonstratable experience of design, development, query & database optimization of distributed SQL (e.g.
