IDOC is looking to hire an Office Assistant to prepare files and keyboard a variety of documents. In addition, this position will coordinate and gather paperwork from various areas, enter medical information into Offender 360 (O360), serve as receptionist, and establish and maintain files. If you are detail oriented and can multi-task, this position is for you. We strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply. Essential Functions

Prepares files and keyboards memorandums, letters, and reports. Coordinates and gathers paperwork from various areas including x-ray, dental, and nursing. Enters medical information into Offender 360 (O360) regarding routine physical dates, examinations, and medical exceptions. Serves as receptionist. Establishes and maintains files. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of related office experience. Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 35 words per minute. Conditions of Employment

Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited. Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
