RN - ICU

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU/ED Shift

Location: Southampton, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12 hour shifts)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care in the ICU and Emergency Department. The nurse will be required to assess patient conditions, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes. The position involves the advocacy for patient needs while respecting safety guidelines and maintaining professional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for patient-centered care.
• Collect and report relevant data related to patient conditions.
• Assess lab and diagnostic results, documenting findings and identifying abnormalities.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Perform nursing interventions in accordance with patient needs and hospital policies.
• Evaluate patient outcomes against established goals.
• Maintain a professional demeanor during interactions with patients, families, peers, and staff.
• Float to North 2, North 3, ICU/CCU, or ED as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State Nursing License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Recent experience in Emergency Department and critical care settings.
• NIHSS and Moderate Sedation Certifications required.
