Job Responsibilities Provide professional psychological services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or other appropriate licensed clinician. Develop and write behavioral/treatment plans and complete functional assessments. Design, develop, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests. Analyze behavioral data and write progress notes. Conduct psychological evaluations. Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and attend meetings for case review. Participate in and lead individual, family and group counseling sessions. Prepare reports and maintain a wide variety of records. Participate in peer review. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree in psychology that included coursework in psychological and behavioral assessment, and treatment modalities for psychological and behavioral disorders. The program must prepare graduates for positions treating individuals in clinical, forensic, community mental health, or school settings. OR completion of graduate coursework in a qualifying doctoral level psychology program that would be the equivalent required for conferral of a master’s degree. Coursework must prepare graduates for the same settings. Evidence of coursework completion is required. For Psychology Trainee 2: One year of appropriately supervised post‑master’s clinical psychology experience in a clinical, forensic, community mental health, or school setting. The primary duties must involve providing psychological services. For Psychologist 1 and 2: A master’s degree in psychology from an accredited institution as defined by the U.S. Department of Education. The program must include coursework in assessment and treatment modalities for psychological and behavioral disorders. For Psychologist 1: Two years of supervised post‑master’s experience. For Psychologist 2: Three years of supervised post‑master’s experience. Doctoral degree in a clinical field of psychology with one year of qualifying experience may replace the education and experience requirements. Clinical practicum, externship, or fieldwork completed as part of a qualifying master’s program may substitute for one year of required experience. Certificate of advanced study in a clinical field of psychology or school psychology may substitute for one year of required experience. Example qualifying degrees: clinical psychology, clinical forensic psychology, community psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, and child psychology. Non‑qualifying degrees are listed above and are not acceptable. Example qualifying experience: direct experience with individuals, families, or groups in hospital, psychiatric hospital, psychiatric clinic, community mental health clinic, correctional facility, intermediate care facility, institutional or school setting, or community based residential and/or day program, under supervision of an eligible clinician. Primary duties must include assessments, behavior plans, or counseling for mental, cognitive, behavioral, intellectual, developmental, substance abuse, or forensic issues. Non‑qualifying experience: experimental, research, industrial, organizational, health psychology, guidance, pastoral counseling, habilitation specialist, instructor of psychology, or undertakings not directly providing services.
