Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Tool Maker (1st Shift) based out of their Elgin IL (40 miles NW of Chicago) facility. They are a global manufacturer of metal die cast precision components, offering plenty of room for career growth.

\n

Compensation: $27.00/hour + (DOE)

\n

\n

What You Will Do :

\n

\n
• Will repair existing dies and develop, cut, shape or form metal work pieces to specifications.
\n
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards.
\n
• Works on all conventional machine tools.
\n
• Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
\n
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
\n
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
\n
• Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
\n
• Additional projects may be assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Education and Work Experience

\n

\n
• At least 4 years US Military Active Duty experience required
\n
• 5+ years tool making experience required (must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.)
