Southport is a charming waterfront city at the mouth of the Cape Fear River in Brunswick County, known for its historic downtown and coastal quality of life. What to expect: 3 x 12‑hour shifts per week, $55‑$70/hour ($103K‑$131K annually), no on‑call, and a benefits package recognized as a Top 10 program nationally among private urgent care organizations. You will be the primary provider on‑site, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast‑paced urgent care setting. Clinical Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in‑house labs and imaging. Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow‑up care, and preventive health. Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience. Average patient volume of 3‑4 patients per hour, supporting thorough evaluation, quality care, and complete documentation. Clinical leadership and network resources are accessible when needed.
