The role also requires occasional travel between university campuses and active participation in scholarship, professional development, and university service. Job Duties Design, develop, deliver, and promote library instruction classes, workshops, and research consultation services. Create instructional materials and learning resources to support information literacy initiatives. Collaborate with faculty and teaching staff to integrate library instruction into academic programs. Manage library collections and perform collection development within assigned subject areas. Provide reference, circulation, and general library assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Deliver remote library support services as needed across university campuses. Participate in scholarly research, publications, workshops, webinars, and professional development activities. Represent the library and university at campus, local, regional, state, and national meetings and conferences. Serve on university committees and collaborate with campus partners across multiple departments. Perform additional library and academic support duties as assigned. Job Requirements Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from an ALA-accredited institution. Excellent knowledge of library resources and reference services. Strong proficiency with computers, integrated library systems, and instructional technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong commitment to teaching, student success, and information literacy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment. Professional interpersonal skills when interacting with students, faculty, staff, and community members. At least two years of academic library experience is preferred. Experience providing classroom, online, or library instruction is preferred. Experience with library content management systems such as Springshare is preferred.
