Full Time Faculty Nurse Education

The Nurse Education Department at Bunker Hill Community College seeks a Full‑Time Faculty member who demonstrates a passion for teaching. The candidate will teach courses in nursing, provide clinical/simulation instruction, evaluate student performance, and contribute to student advising and college life. Courses may be taught in‑person or online across multiple campuses. Responsibilities Teach nursing courses, including nursing process, critical thinking, pharmacology, therapeutic communications, priority setting, mental health, and delegation. Provide clinical/simulation instruction to nursing students. Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical/simulation settings. Utilize appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking. Develop instructional materials consistent with course objectives. Participate in determining course goals and objectives and in developing course standards. Use new simulations and computer technologies in the classroom, where appropriate. Actively engage in ongoing professional development. Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of program components. Maintain expertise in teaching responsibilities. Comply with the duties outlined in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement. Workload assigned based on programmatic needs (e.g., classroom, lab, clinical, simulation). Requirements Minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing and current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in good standing in Massachusetts. Minimum of two years full‑time experience in Nursing or an equivalent within the last five years. Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Preferred Qualifications Two years full‑time teaching experience in higher education. Ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or another language (preferred). Additional Information Salary: $70,000.00–$75,000.00. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, and is a Full‑Time Faculty Position with state benefits.
