Sr Specialist RAN Engineering

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week but will be in the field on a daily basis. No relocation is offered. What you’ll do: Network Design and Planning: Develop network layouts, ensure compliance, conduct feasibility studies, perform capacity planning, and manage cell site equipment layout and parameter definition. Performance Analysis and Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, analyze RAN data, and perform RF optimization and capacity management. Implementation and Configuration: Deploy network solutions, conduct testing and validation, manage configurations, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of wireless RAN systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including satellite network routing problems. Collaboration and Coordination: Work with stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, provide customer support, and coordinate installation, maintenance, and optimization activities with various teams. What you’ll bring: As a Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering, you will be responsible for providing expert radio frequency (RF) engineering and Radio Access Network (RAN) design engineering to ensure robust and efficient network performance. A professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Works with independent judgement on expansive projects with minimal supervision, implementing policy changes to improve functions. Actions impact efficiency costs, schedules and client relationships. Interacts primarily within the department and with General Managers and above across various teams. Handle complex RAN engineering tasks; expand expertise in RAN technologies. What you’ll need: Required Experience: Up to 3 years of related experience Certification is required in some areas. Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Engineering preferred. Supervisor: No Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand‑by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
