Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values. What You Will Do Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication. Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding. Qualifications Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 60 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Location Located in Derry, NH. Parkland is an 86-bed regional acute-care hospital and a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital is part of HCA Healthcare's network of more than 70 care sites across New Hampshire.
