Geotechnical Engineer

Senior Engineer / Project Manager Support and lead solid waste engineering projects across California and the western U.S. This mid-level role requires a strong background in civil or geotechnical engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in the landfill and environmental infrastructure space. Responsibilities Project Management & Technical Execution Manage and execute engineering projects related to solid waste, civil infrastructure, and geotechnical design, reporting directly to the Principal Engineer. Lead engineering analyses using advanced geotechnical software tools for design and evaluation. Oversee field activities, including construction quality assurance (CQA) and site observations during landfill construction and closure projects. Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, geotechnical investigations, construction plans, and specifications. Client Interaction & Team Collaboration Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met. Support proposal development and contribute to business development efforts through technical expertise and client engagement. Qualifications Education & Licensure Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. California PE license required; GE license preferred for geotechnical candidates. Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and/or geotechnical engineering with a focus on landfill projects. Proven experience in geotechnical and groundwater investigations, landfill expansions and closures, groundwater monitoring and construction oversight, project management and client coordination.
