Responsibilities Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures. Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Maintain documentation. Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing. Qualifications Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist Physical Requirements Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily. Personal Protective Equipment Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Work Schedule and Locations A caregiver in this position works weekdays from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM and every other weekend from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Holidays will be required, as needed. Mercy Health Center of Jackson will be the primary work location, but floating to the Plain location will be required, as needed. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $29.00 Maximum hourly: $44.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
