Job Description
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting dental professionals during oral surgery and dental implant procedures, ensuring smooth operations both in clinical and administrative tasks. This position can be part-time or full-time and involves occasional travel to support community outreach and mobile dental clinics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for various dental procedures, including oral surgery and dental implants
- Perform sterilization and disinfection of instruments and treatment areas
- Maintain accurate patient records using specialized dental software
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and manage calendar coordination
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices
- Assist with dental radiography following safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance of dental equipment
- Implement strict infection control measures to ensure patient safety
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in dental assisting
- Certificate in Dental Assisting
- Knowledge of Dental Radiography and Chairside Assistance
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and sterilization techniques
- Strong patient communication skills
- Proficient in record keeping and appointment scheduling
- Effective time management abilities
