Bring on the fruits and veg! As Receiver for our Operations team, in this hands-on role you will organize and facilitate the receiving, quality checking, and storage of incoming and outbound products that are some of the most interesting, exciting, and fun specialty produce. What Makes You a Great Candidate
We are looking for diverse, energetic, collaborative people who love fast-paced work and have an eye for detail. Do you have what it takes to physically break down and restack pallets of product, determine the quality of products, adjust/receive in the computer system, and ensure that product count matches invoice amounts with the best on our team?

• Eye for Detail – We need your expertise to separate merchandise according to shipper, item, size, color, lot, etc., also reporting product quality and condition issues to sales or buyers by phone or email, filing company receiving reports as needed.
• Inventory Management Skills – Adjusting quantities and receiving lots in the computer, following established company procedures for proper “product put away” in appropriate locations in the warehouse (ex: coolers and storage areas), rotating existing stock in coolers when putting away, and writing Return tickets for merchandise returned by customers.
• Reliable & Responsible – We need you! Can you show up for your teammates?
• Ability to Work Independently – Taking initiative, performing tasks with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, and taking ownership.
• Eligibility to Work in the U.S. – You must be eligible to work in the US.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills along with basic math skills
• Proficiency with using computers (Windows, Excel, Word)

About the Job
What does a JVI Receiver do? Your primary focus will be unloading/supervising the unloading of trucks and verifying that the product counts match quantities on bills of lading invoices. You’ll become an expert in handling fresh fruits and vegetables. You’ll also follow company protocols and procedures when it comes to checking and documenting quality and condition on each lot of each shipment, marking count discrepancies and quality or condition problems on all bills of lading or invoices. Order fulfillment (properly loading outbound customer orders on trucks and processing paperwork) is also a key part of the role.

What’s it like in our coolers?

• Temperature : Our warehouse ranges in temperature from 32-65&degree;F, but don’t worry, we provide a few layers. Plus our breakroom is warm and well stocked with coffee, tea, and water.
• Activity Level : You’ll be moving around pretty much all day from cooler to cooler. We’ll supply you with an electric pallet jack, but there is a lot of hop-on hop-off.
• Safety First : We are a SAFETY FIRST culture here at JVI – full stop. We have policies in place to ensure this is a safe, healthy environment for you and all our team members. We also want you to be at your best in order to perform all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Warehouse Intensity : While you’re busy, our cash and carry customers may also be selecting their own orders in the cooler. Be prepared to navigate during busy hours.
• Collaboration : You may be asked to assign and direct other selectors or staff members to assist in unloading, product put away or lot rotation, also assisting with customer order selection or picking as needed.
• Dress Code : We require that you wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes (preferably comfortable ones!) with socks and long pants. You’ll also need to wear a Hi-Vis reflector jacket when on the job, which we will provide. We ask that your clothing does not have any potentially offensive writing or drawings, but outside of that: be you!
