Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions)Corporate Tax Manager to join our Manhattan office (approved locations also include Melville, NY and Iselin, NJ). You will work within our corporate tax practice focusing on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (provision preparation or audit support). You'll be a key team member leading engagements and helping clients solve complex tax issues, backed by a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.Core ResponsibilitiesManage and lead corporate tax engagements end-to-end including tax compliance and ASC 740 provisions.Review and oversee preparation of tax returns and tax provision calculations.Act as the in-charge manager on client engagements—managing budgets, staff, timelines, and client expectations.Supervise and mentor tax associates and senior associates, contributing to their development.Collaborate across tax service lines and offices for well-rounded client solutions.Support IRS/state tax inquiries and audits.Identify and propose additional service opportunities to existing clients.Maintain updated knowledge of federal, state, and international tax law changes.Attend and participate in regular professional development sessions.Required QualificationsActive CPA (NY or NJ) OR JD required4–7 years of progressive experience in corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provisionsRecent experience in a Top 15 public accounting firmStrong exposure to large, multi-state, national or global companiesExperience preparing/reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions and quarterly projectionsStrong knowledge of US GAAP and corporate tax lawTax software experience, preferably ONESOURCEMust be onsite in the office at least 2 days/weekExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsProfessional services or public accounting experienceExperience with international taxation or transfer pricingLong-term employment history (limited job-hopping)Leadership experience with direct reportsStrong collaboration and mentoring capabilities
