School Occupational Therapist | Renton, Washington

Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents, ideally in school settings
• Understanding of IEP documentation and goal setting for diverse student populations
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Complete assessments and evaluations to determine students' therapy needs and establish individualized goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in students' IEPs
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other therapists to integrate strategies into the classroom and daily routines
• Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as appropriate
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the broader school community
