Controls EngineerThe Manufacturing Controls Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, developing and designing electrical controls and electromechanical systems for manufacturing processes. Aids in the improvements of manufacturing processes through enhanced control systems, electrical and/or mechanical improvements or process improvements. Coordinates the activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of these systems. Assists in electrical and process troubleshooting and repair, while supporting the needs of the Manufacturing Department to drive continuous improvement plans by using experience and related knowledge.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent professional experience1-3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong background/understanding of programming, support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for industrial programmable logic controllers. Allen Bradley and Siemens systems knowledge a plus.Experience with the design and specification of new processes, packaging, and machinery. Robotic programming a plusStrong aptitude in electrical schematics and the ability to develop new or update existing schematicsAbility to read and understand mechanical drawingsAbility to lead continuous improvement cross-functional teams/projectsStrong understanding of manufacturing process flows and proven ability to identify and correct bottlenecks/constraints in a highly automated and fast paced manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with AutoCAD or Draft SightExperience in continuous and batch manufacturing processes controls, PID controls, P&ID diagramsNetworking communications and OT network security protocols including managed switch configurations a plusDuties require effective verbal and written communications skillsVisual acuity to written material, computer screen data, prints and plansPhysical ability to operate a personal computer and to move throughout the facilities and in/around machinery to perform inspections, etc.The MA base pay range for this position is from $91,450 to $111,750. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
