Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Montross, VA Location: Montross, VA Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am–5:00pm; Wednesday 8:00am–1:00pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Certification or training must come from an accredited agency if not covered by work experience Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Willingness to travel to additional sites when needed (reliable transportation required) Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $17.75 – $27.69 per hour Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees qualify only for the 401(k) Plan. Those on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive the same benefits except for PTO/FTO.
