Professional Education Manager

Coloplast Interventional Urology is seeking a Professional Relations and Emerging Clinician Engagement Manager to lead and manage relationships within the Urology and Urogynecology health sectors. This strategic position will lead professional relations and advocacy initiatives across the physician continuum, including professional societies, academic institutions, residency and fellowship programs, key opinion leaders, and emerging clinician networks. Develop strategies that advance advocacy, and adopt company therapies within society engagements, while cultivating the next generation of clinical leaders and champions.

The Professional Relations Manager will play a key role in driving Coloplast’s mission to improve outcomes for patients with urologic and gynecologic conditions, ensuring our products and solutions are aligned with the needs of healthcare providers. You will work closely with internal teams to craft effective strategies for engaging with Professional Societies, clinicians, hospitals, and academic institutions, while promoting Coloplast Interventional Urology solutions.

Major Areas of Accountability

Develop and Execute Professional Relations Strategy:

• Design and implement a comprehensive professional relations strategy focusing on strengthening relationships with professional societies, and academic leaders.
• Build and maintain long-term partnerships with leading specialists, urology centers, healthcare institutions, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the urologic and gynecologic fields to enhance Coloplast IU’s presence and reputation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, ProfEd, and marketing, to ensure the integration of professional insights into Coloplast’s strategy.
• Support development and execution of professional engagement strategies aligned with therapeutic area priorities.
• Facilitate communication between external stakeholders and internal teams.

Emerging Clinician Engagement

• Build relationships with residency and fellowship directors, academic faculty, and teaching institutions.
• Support educational initiatives that increase awareness and competency in company therapies and technologies.
• Create programs that help cultivate future clinical advocates and KOLs.
• Establish mechanisms for capturing insights from clinicians early in their careers.

Academic Partnerships

• Identify and prioritize strategic residency and fellowship programs.
• Coordinate educational grants, training opportunities, and academic collaborations.
• Support simulation labs, educational workshops, and hands-on training experiences.
• Partner with academic institutions to address unmet needs and advance Coloplast therapy awareness

Customer Engagement & Insights:

• Engage healthcare professionals through targeted interactions and educational programs to gather valuable insights on current trends in urologic care, patient management, and treatment gaps.
• Translate feedback from healthcare providers and KOLs into actionable strategies that inform IU’s marketing initiatives and business strategies. 

KOL and Advocacy Development

• Assist in identifying and developing future thought leaders within targeted specialties.
• Maintain engagement plans for rising physician leaders and Key Societies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to maximize the impact of advocacy initiatives.
• Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influential KOLs and Society Leaders to drive advocacy for Coloplast IU’s technologies and solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Marketing, Professional Education, Medical Affairs, Clinical, and Sales
• Align professional engagement strategies with launch plans, market development initiatives, and educational priorities.
• Provide clinician insights to support business planning and strategy development.
• Contribute to annual planning and budget processes.

Compliance & Budget Management:

• Ensure all professional relations activities are executed in full compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements

Basic Qualifications

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MD, PhD, or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of clinical or medical device/pharmaceutical industry experience. Required.
• 7+ years of experience in professional relations, medical affairs, or healthcare marketing
• Proven track record of building and managing relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders in the urology/urogynecology fields Required
• Experience in organizing and managing educational programs, speaker engagements, and other professional relations initiatives. Preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the urology and urogynecology markets, including clinical guidelines, treatment protocols, and innovations. Preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence senior healthcare professionals and organizational leaders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate customer feedback and market trends into actionable insights for business strategy.

Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $142,213 - $213,319. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
