Family Law Paralegal

Job Description Join an experienced and well-respected attorney and his team in downtown Syracuse, who are dedicated to providing exceptional support in family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child support, custody, paternity, and domestic violence matters. This is a full-time, in-person position. Key Responsibilities Draft, file, and serve legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, Statements of Net Worth, and discovery requests and responses. Prepare substantive correspondence. Maintain case files, track deadlines, and prepare files for trial. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and other professionals. Prepare maintenance and child support calculations. Qualifications Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in family law. Minimum two -five years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law. Strong understanding of New York family law statutes, court rules, and procedures. Experience with electronic filing systems (eCourts, EDDS, and NYSCEF).
