Staff Product Data Scientist Manager, Search Ads

Lead and mentor a team of junior and senior data scientists, serving as a role model and professional coach to develop colleagues' capabilities, stretch their skills, and uphold high standards of accountability.Initiate and execute complex, ambiguous statistical analysis and modeling projects to optimize the Search Ads serving system and deliver rigorous, actionable insights that drive revenue growth.Design and implement innovative experiment designs, statistical models, and measurement frameworks to analyze the long-term impact of product changes on users, advertisers, and Google's systems.Partner and align with engineering, product management, and executive leadership, as well as cross-functional stakeholders in sales and customer solutions, to guide product strategy and assist in decision-making.Manage project life-cycles by covering problem definition, metrics development, data extraction and manipulation, visualization, and presentation of findings to stakeholders across multiple organizations.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.10 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 8 years work experience with a Master's degree).3 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.Experience working with digital advertising systems or online advertising metrics.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.12 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).4 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.As a Staff Data Scientist and Technical Lead Manager for Search Ads in the Ads Metrics Data Science team, you will lead a team of data scientists directly contributing to Google's revenue growth.
