Role Overview: This role involves guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatments to support recovery from injuries or medical conditions in a clinical setting.

Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience required.
• Flu Vaccine Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• 1st time traveler experience accepted.
• EPIC Charting System preferred.
• Certifications Required: BLS, PTA
• Licensure: SC State Licensure

• Work Setting: Outpatient Clinic
• Orthopedics: Cervicalgia, Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD), Extremity Mobilization, Gait training, Hip fractures/injuries, Knee injuries/tendinopathy, Low back pain, Osteoarthritis, Sciatica, Spinal Conditions
• Assessment: AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Pain assessment, Strength testing, Vital Sign monitoring
• Modalities: Cryotherapy, Moist Heat,
• Neurologic: Parkinson’s disease, Post Stroke Rehabilitation

Preferred Skills / Certs / Exp :

• Work Setting: Acute Care
• Orthopedics: Ankle sprains, Elbow injuries/tendinopathy, Frozen shoulder, LE Amputations, Lumbar Traction, Myofascial Release, Total hip replacement, Total knee replacement
• Modalities: Cervical Traction, E-stim, Lumbar Traction, Ultrasound
• Neurologic: Dementia/Alzheimer’s
• Geriatrics: Medical Surgical

• Home Exercise Program
• Lifting and transfer
• Patient family education
• Signs & Symptoms physical, sexual, psychological abuse

Schedule:
IP and OP primarily M-F with the possibility of weekends in inpatient as needed (rare) with time off during the week. OP would be M,W,F and IP T,TH.
