Histotech (ASCP) – Southern New Mexico | Full-Time

Join a leading healthcare team in Southern New Mexico as a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician . This full-time role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who take pride in preparing tissue samples that directly support patient diagnoses and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Process and prepare tissue and cytology specimens for pathological evaluation
Perform embedding, microtomy, routine/special staining, and immunohistochemistry
Assist pathologists with frozen sections, fine needle aspirations, and autopsies
Maintain quality control, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting
Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Histotechnology program or military equivalent
Histology certification (ASCP or equivalent)
1–2 years of histopathology experience required (depending on degree)
Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and organizational skills
