As a Security Officer Part Time Screening Support in West Palm Beach, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering designated areas using established procedures and screening equipment, reporting prohibited or suspicious items and/or activity to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate law enforcement personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate screening, visitor, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
