THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of project engineering and civil construction work. They thrive in a fast paced and a team oriented environment. They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time. An individual who will do well in this position is self oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable. Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site in Phoenix, AZ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS

Plan and design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, water and waste management systems and structural steel fabrications. Develop construction specifications and procedures. Establish, monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules. Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials. Conduct research and studies on site. Manage field activities and implement engineering designs. Diagnose construction or machinery problems. Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise. Oversee repairs and technical improvements. Oversee sub-contractors. Track material costs and quantities entering project sites. Create reports based on monthly material costs and inventory. Assist other engineering departments as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
