Supervising detained youth during School, Meal, Recreation, Sleeping Periods, and all other activities taking place within the Detention Center; Maintains Security by continuous supervision to provide for the safety and well-being of detained youth. Completes established Admissions and Release Record Keeping and Physical Processing; Maintains order in the youth group and take appropriate action in response to rules infractions and disturbances; Makes entries in records and performs other Clerical Duties as needed to formally record juvenile activities and behavior; Administers First Aid & CPR; Passes medications as directed; Communicates with Parents/Guardians regarding juvenile case information as directed; Communicates with Court Service Officers and Law Enforcement regarding juvenile case information and Behavior Incidents as directed; Performs housekeeping duties as assigned of as necessary to keep the facility neat and orderly; Ability to work well with juveniles; Ability to evaluate and manage group behavior and respond to behaviors as they occur; Ability to feel at ease in a locked facility where security is a requirement.
Age Requirement - Must be 21+ years of age.
Education - Must have at least three semester hours of college level psychology or sociology.
