Production Lead - 2nd shift

$20 - $25 per hour

Our client is seeking a Production Lead to support daily operations within a metal finishing and inspection environment. This hands-on role is responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting production employees, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure products move efficiently through the manufacturing process.

Shift & Compensation

2nd Shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm
$20.00-$25.00/hour, based on experience

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Previous lead, trainer, or team leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of production processes and workflow management
Ability to train, coach, and support team members
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Production Manager with daily production operations
Monitor and coordinate workflow to support production goals
Train and guide employees on procedures, quality standards, and best practices
Support employee onboarding and ongoing development
Help maximize labor efficiency and productivity
Communicate production expectations, processes, and company policies to team members
Assist with employee performance evaluations and coaching efforts
Promote compliance with quality and environmental management systems
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing environment with periods of heat and humidity
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting throughout the shift
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds as needed
Close-toed shoes required in production areas
