About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Counsel, Corporate to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing all corporate legal matters, with a focus on public company compliance, reporting, and corporate and finance transactions. This role involves strategic legal decision-making to support the company's global operations and growth. Key responsibilities for the Managing Counsel, Corporate include supporting the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer with Board and governance matters, participating in the development of corporate policies, and overseeing the preparation of legal documents for subsidiary governance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' legal experience, including a background in a major law firm and a substantial in-house counsel role with a publicly-traded company. They should be adept at providing commercial and strategic legal advice, have a proven track record of leadership, and be capable of effectively managing legal risks while supporting business objectives. The role requires a leader with strong business acumen, the ability to partner with senior leaders, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment. The candidate should be a member in good standing of at least one state bar and hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Critical leadership capabilities include collaboration, driving results, and the ability to influence and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
