Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Antioch, TN

Experienced Operating Room RNs are sought for a dynamic thoracic/vascular team within this high-acuity, Level 1 trauma setting. The role involves working in a hospital with over 1,000 beds and 56 operating rooms-serving an adult patient population presenting with complex cases such as transplant, trauma/neuro, cardiac, vascular, robotics, and more. Flexibility and proficiency across diverse procedure types are essential.


Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (9:00am - 9:00pm)
• Weekdays will vary based on departmental need (block scheduling unavailable)
• Late stays required depending on patient care demands

Role Overview: As part of the thoracic/vascular team, you will be a key resource in supporting complex surgical cases. All circulators and scrubs must be fully proficient in endovascular procedures. Candidates must be comfortable floating between operating rooms as needed to manage case volume and clinical priorities.


Qualifications:

• Current TN or compact state RN license (must be active and on file at submission)
• Minimum of 2 years' recent OR experience
• Documented thoracic/vascular surgical background with confidence in both circulator and scrub roles
• Certification in specialty area required and must be on file at submission
• Prior travel experience is required to ensure smooth onboarding and adaptability
• Extensive experience with endovascular, thoracic, and hybrid procedures is necessary
• Comfortable working with adult patient populations (no pediatric cases)

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub on a wide range of complex procedures including transplant, trauma/neuro, robotics, general, and more
• Support a busy thoracic/vascular service, taking on late-case stays as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal surgical care in a high-pressure environment
• Adapt readily to rapidly shifting case loads and urgent patient needs
