Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Old Lyme , CT. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing excavation and construction projects from initiation through completion. Day-to-day tasks include managing project schedules, budgets, and resources; coordinating logistics for materials and equipment; and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with expeditors, field crews, suppliers, and customers to maintain efficient workflows and clear communication. The role also involves monitoring progress, conducting site inspections, resolving issues, and preparing regular project status reports for leadership. Qualifications Project management skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects. Expeditor and Expediting skills to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and documentation. Logistics Management skills to organize transportation, equipment, and supply chain activities. Inspection skills to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Experience in construction or excavation environments, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with field teams, vendors, and customers. Proficiency with project management software and basic office productivity tools.
