Oncology Registered Nurse - Elyria, Ohio

A specialized inpatient unit is seeking a registered nurse with a strong background in oncology for a contract opportunity. This 30-bed division serves patients undergoing treatment for malignant hematologic disorders, including those receiving stem cell transplants and CAR-T infusions. The role also supports cutting-edge clinical research protocols.


Your expertise will help provide high-level, compassionate care to individuals navigating complex oncologic therapies. You will join a collaborative environment where your experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT) and chemotherapy administration is both valued and essential.


Schedule/Hours:

• Day/night rotations alternate every 2 weeks
• Straight night shifts can be accommodated

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) nursing
• Valid ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider card required
• Solid clinical skills handling malignant hematologic conditions, stem cell transplants, and complex treatments
• Proven ability to adapt to rapid clinical changes and participate in evolving research protocols
• Strong communication and collaborative skills, supporting both patients and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with hematologic malignancies
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T infusions following strict protocols
• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to therapy and intervene as needed
• Actively participate in research protocol procedures per division guidelines
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort while engaging with families and support networks
