Location: Viroqua, WI

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
Holiday Rotation: Required
On-Call: No
EMR System: EPIC
We are seeking an experienced OB/L&D Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled maternal-child nurse with strong Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby care experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to labor & delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby patients
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
Assist physicians during deliveries and obstetric procedures
Perform postpartum assessments and newborn care
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
Educate mothers and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC EMR
Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and neonatal situations
Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
Current BLS Certification required
Current NRP Certification required
Strong maternal-child nursing and critical thinking skills
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Ability to work independently in a Critical Access Hospital setting
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Experience in postpartum and mother-baby care required
Experience in rural or Critical Access Hospital settings preferred
