Patient Care Coordinator

Full-time - Mon–Thu 8:00–4:30, Fri 8:00–1:00

What you will own

• Welcome patients warmly and create a front-office experience that keeps them coming back
• Answer incoming calls in English and Spanish; schedule appointments and manage recall
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Present treatment plans and financial options clearly, including membership plan enrollment
• Collect co-pays and balances; process payments accurately
• Manage new patient intake, chart preparation, and paperwork
• Coordinate with clinical staff to keep the schedule running on time
• Follow up on unscheduled treatment and reactivate lapsed patients
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists consistently
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk in full compliance with HIPAA standards

What we are looking for

• Bilingual English/Spanish is required. A large portion of our patient base is Spanish-speaking and this is not negotiable.
• Dental front office experience is a strong plus, but we will consider candidates without it if you are sharp, coachable, and committed to learning the role
• Familiarity with dental insurance (PPO, HMO, fee-for-service) is preferred; willingness to learn is required
• Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
• Strong verbal communication skills in both languages — you are the face and voice of this practice
• Organized, dependable, and able to stay composed in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine team-first attitude — we are a small office and everyone pulls together
