Salary Range: $25.50 per Hour Status: Non-Exempt Location: Marina, CA | Yuma, AZ Reports to: Cooler Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for loading and unloading products from trucks, containers, or railcars trucks. Complete paperwork accurately in a timely manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Check trailer and reefer temperature prior to loading (34-38 degrees).
• Inspection of trailer for any pre-existing damage.
• Inspection of product (random temperature checks) to ensure there is no damage to the product.
• Verify case count and product temperature as it is being loaded and/or staged on the dock.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

• English skills required, bilingual preferred.
• Mathematical skills and logical thought process required.
• Prioritize orders by appointments.
• Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Follow directions, interact well with co-workers,
• Understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures.
• Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as workload demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and sit.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and 20 lbs overhead as job demands.
• Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Time will be spent in a refrigerated (cold) and loud (ear protection required) work environment.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to travel to other facilities and offices.
• Ability to work long days including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to relocate.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Relevant work experience Required
• High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
