Commissioning Supervisor

Role summary / purpose

Directs the planning, execution, and testing of new construction power plant commissioning within defined budgets, schedules, and environmental targets. Directly interacts with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, OEM equipment suppliers, off-taker Utilities, regional transmission system operators, Plant Operations, and staff organizations to develop a fully integrated commissioning plan and to manage issues as they arise. Through system turnover walkdowns and execution of verification and validation checks, assures a quality product meeting the project's performance objectives is accepted from the construction contractor(s) in the required sequence, tested, and turned over to Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning efforts for power plant construction projects.
• Develop and execute integrated commissioning plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety requirements.
• Provide technical oversight to contractors and commissioning teams.
• Coordinate resolution of operational issues during startup and testing.

Requirements - education & experience

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 6 - 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.

Required skills

Strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning.
