Role Description The Senior Counselor role is a part-time remote position responsible for providing high-quality telehealth counseling services to a diverse client population. Day-to-day tasks include conducting individual therapy sessions, completing clinical assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. The Senior Counselor will also engage in case conceptualization, risk assessment, and appropriate referrals or care coordination when needed. Additional responsibilities may include offering clinical input on practice protocols, participating in supervision or peer consultation, and contributing to a culture of ethical, inclusive, and trauma-informed care. The role requires consistent confidentiality, adherence to licensing requirements, and effective use of virtual platforms to deliver care.\n
Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) with strong skills in individual counseling, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.

• Demonstrated experience with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and remote client engagement, including managing sessions in a secure and professional virtual environment.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based modalities (such as CBT, DBT, person-centered or trauma-informed approaches) and the ability to tailor interventions to diverse client needs.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work sensitively with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and relevant professional codes of conduct.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage a part-time caseload, and maintain organized, timely records and follow-up.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Experience in specialized areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, or life transitions is highly beneficial; familiarity with culturally responsive and inclusive care is strongly preferred.
